This Privacy Policy describes how 2ofUs ("2ofUs", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the 2ofUs mobile app (the "Service"). 2ofUs is operated by 2ofUs Team ("Operator").
By creating an account and using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide when you sign in
- Account credentials: You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive the email address and name associated with your sign-in account, and an avatar/photo if your provider shares one.
- Profile data: Your display name and avatar, which you can edit in the app.
Information generated as you use the Service
- Pairing data: To connect you with your partner, we create a shared "playground" identified by an invitation code. This links your two accounts together.
- Game and content data: Content you and your partner create while playing — including game clues, guesses, story text, answers, scores, and points.
- Activity data: Timestamps such as when you were last active.
- Subscription data: Whether your shared account has an active Premium subscription.
Device and technical data
- Push notifications: If you enable notifications, we collect a device push token so we can send you alerts.
- Standard technical data: Anonymous device and app data (such as app version and platform) collected automatically as needed to operate the Service.
What we do not collect
We do not use third-party advertising networks, cross-app tracking SDKs, or behavioral analytics. We do not sell your information.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and manage your account and to authenticate you.
- To pair you with your partner and sync your shared games and content between your two devices.
- To operate, display, and store your game content, scores, and story history.
- To process and verify Premium subscriptions and unlock paid features.
- To send you push notifications you have agreed to receive.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
3. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- With your partner: By design, the content you create within a shared playground is visible to the partner you are paired with.
- With service providers (processors):
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication.
- Apple / Google — provide Sign in with Apple / Sign in with Google.
- RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and purchases. To attribute a purchase to your shared account, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier (your playground ID) and subscription/purchase events. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
- Apple Push Notification service (APNs) — to deliver notifications.
- For legal reasons: If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment — we do not collect or store your card details. RevenueCat helps us manage your subscription status. See our Terms of Use for subscription terms.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Section 7), we delete your profile, your shared playground data, and your game/story content, typically within 30 days. We may retain limited information where required by law or for legitimate security or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, database row-level access controls, and restricted access on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
- Access or correct your data: email us at support@2ofusapp.com and we'll help you see or fix your information.
- Delete your account and data: contact us at support@2ofusapp.com and we'll remove your profile and data. This also removes you from your shared playground and affects what your partner sees.
- Notifications: you can turn push notifications off anytime in your device settings.
We'll do our best to respond to any request within a reasonable time.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is a couples app and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information is processed by our service providers (such as Supabase) which may store data in countries other than your own.
10. Links to Other Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, the Apple App Store). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by other means.
